Tidal Transit primed for EDP Norfolk Business Awards 2025
Tidal Transit has been named a finalist in the Eastern Daily Press Norfolk Business Awards 2025 – marking the latest in a long line of awards nominations and wins for it’s ground-breaking e-Ginny diesel-to-electric CTV retrofit project.
The company has been shortlisted in the ‘Environmental and Sustainability’ category for its contribution to driving clean maritime innovation in the East of England, and for its continued commitment to building more sustainable renewables sector in the North Sea.
Tidal Transit is leading several projects redefining the sustainable future of offshore wind operations and maintenance. Chief among these is e-Ginny: a diesel vessel with years of prior service transformed by Tidal Transit and it project partners into a fully battery-powered electric workboat capable of operating with zero emissions.
Supported by the Zero Emission Vessels and Infrastructure (ZEVI) competition from the UK Department for Transport (DfT) and Innovate UK, e-Ginny demonstrates how circular innovation can reduce waste, greatly extend material and product lifecycles and significantly cut carbon emissions in the much-needed journey to fleet electrification.
Speaking about the shortlisting, Leo Hambro, commercial director at Tidal Transit, said: “It’s fantastic to be recognised among so many impressive businesses making a real impact in the East of England. Our mission to ‘Electrify Everything’ is at the heart of everything we do, and being acknowledged for our rigorous commitment to a cleaner, greener offshore wind industry is something the whole team can be proud of. Roll on awards night!”
The winners of the EDP Norfolk Business Awards will be announced at a black-tie event on 27th November at the Norfolk Showground. Learn more about the categories and finalists, and book tickets to the event here.
