Connecting the value chain to power offshore electrification
The transition to zero-emission offshore operations is gaining momentum. On 29 October, key players from across the offshore wind value chain will gather in Newcastle to explore how offshore charging infrastructure can accelerate the electrification of service vessels.
Hosted by Seaonics, MJR, and Stillstrom, and supported by Maritime CleanTech, Norwegian Offshore Wind, and NOF, the workshop will bring together developers, vessel owners, designers, suppliers, grid operators, and authorities to identify practical solutions for advancing zero-emission operations at sea.
The workshop will combine presentations, including a keynote speech from Tidal Transit commercial director Leo Hambro exploring the electrification of CTVs, and collaborative roundtable discussions to address the barriers, technical challenges and collaborative actions needed to unlock offshore charging opportunities.
Held at Equinor’s facilities at the Port of Tyne, the event aims to strengthen industry cooperation and help shape the roadmap for large-scale electrification in offshore wind operations.
